What is Burnout?

Burnout is officially recognized as an occupational phenomenon and is defined as a syndrome resulting from chronic stress. There are many different symptoms of burnout, including lack of focus, reduced efficiency, irritability, trouble sleeping, utter exhaustion, as well as a myriad of other physical symptoms. 

Art Therapy

Art therapy is a type of psychotherapy that involves the application of the visual arts. Art therapy can be done with a licensed therapist in an individual or group setting, or by oneself. Types of art therapy include sketching, journaling, painting, sculpting, making collages, among many others.

Guided Imagery

Guided imagery is a type of focused relaxation or meditation. Focused relaxation involves concentrating on a specific object, sound, or experience in order to calm your mind.

In guided imagery, you intentionally think of a peaceful place or scenario. The goal is to promote a calm state through relaxation and mindfulness. The idea is that your body reacts to your own thoughts.

For example, when you think about a stressful situation, your body and mind become tense. Your heart rate and blood pressure might increase, and you may feel jittery and unfocused.

Canis Therapy

Canis therapy (canis – dog + therapy – treatment) is very popular and promising therapeutic movement in zoo medicine, where patients are treated with the help of dogs. Canis therapy is a kind of animal therapy. It's used in medical and social rehabilitation. Specially trained therapeutic dogs relieve patients' condition with neurological or psychological disturbances or deviations.

Transcendental Meditation

Transcendental Meditation (TM) is a form of meditation developed by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. It involves sitting comfortably with closed eyes and silently repeating a mantra. TM aims to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and enhance overall well-being. It does not require concentration or control of the mind. Regular practice has been associated with reduced stress, improved focus, and a sense of inner peace.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is a form of meditation that involves paying attention to the present moment without judgment. It involves intentionally focusing on sensations, thoughts, and emotions that arise in the present moment. Mindfulness practice aims to cultivate awareness and acceptance of one's experiences. It has been shown to reduce stress, improve focus and concentration, and enhance overall well-being.
